- Administrative Assistant to the Town Manager
The Town of Wilton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Administrative Assistant to the Town Manager. Work requires familiarity with the organizational and operating characteristics of the municipal service. The employee frequently has considerable independence of action in the disposition of routine matters and in receiving complaints, giving information and other public contact. Makes a significant contribution to the effective flow and sharing of information between the office of the Town Manager, Select Board, department heads, other Town Officials and the general public. The employee follows established procedures and regulations, but must exercise judgment and initiative in analyzing transactions and recommending changes in procedures or accounts. Work is checked by the Town Manager by observation and inspection, verification, and other internal and administrative controls. At least five years experience in general office procedures; executive secretarial work of a progressively responsible nature involving contact with the public. The Town of Wilton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Finance and HR Director. An employee of this class is responsible for the custody, collection, disbursement, and investment of Town funds. Work involves cash management; supervising the collection of Town funds, maintaining liaison with banks and the general public; disbursing funds to cover expenditures; supervising town office staff; and preparing and administering department budgets. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Town Manager with considerable independence of action in accordance with applicable laws and following generally accepted accounting practices. Work is reviewed through observation, verification, internal audit, and through fiscal audit. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a college or university with a four-year degree in financial management, public administration, or business administration or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The Town of Wilton is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full time Water-Wastewater Operator position for the Wilton Water & Sewer Department. Water & Wastewater licenses are preferred but not required. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and be on call. Our utility is looking for individuals with a wide range of skills. Skills from parallel industries including but are not limited to: Mechanical, Industrial, Plumbing, Electrical, Laboratory, Construction, Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing, Safety, and many others.
