Wilton’s Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing municipally-enacted policies and ordinances. In addition, our CEO is your main contact for building, plumbing and electrical permits. If you have any questions or concerns, regarding building codes, site plan reviews, or general construction guidelines do not hesitate to contact the Wilton Town Office.
As of 7/1/2012 the MUBEC Building Code is in effect. You must contact the Code Enforcement Officer about the inspection process. You may obtain information about the various codes at www.maine.gov/dps/bbcs.
Local Comprehensive Plan
The Local Comprehensive Plan is consistent with the Maine Growth Management Act. Copies are available below, or at the Town Office. The LCP was adopted at Town Meeting on June 15th, 2009.
Wilton has a town-wide zoning ordinance, administered by the Planning Board and Board of Appeals. You may obtain a copy below, or by contacting the Code Enforcement Officer at (207) 645-4961.
